The Safety Yard
at UF TREEO Center
According to OSHA accident statistics an average of 2.8 out of 100 workers in the U.S are injured in workplace accidents every year. Many workplace accidents are caused by a lack of equipment experience. Sufficient hands-on training bypasses this safety risk and provides individuals an outlet to safely recognize and correct their own mistakes.
The addition of the Safety Yard allows UF TREEO Center to offer safe and controlled hands-on safety training. This 800 sq. ft. training space is designed to be used for:
- Confined space training
- Ladder safety
- Scaffolding
- Fall protection
- Incidental Spill Cleanup and Emergency Response
- Programs and activities tailored to fit your learning needs!
