University of Florida TREEO Center Unveils State-of-the-Art Asbestos Training Room

The University of Florida TREEO Center is proud to introduce its brand-new asbestos training room, a cutting-edge facility designed to elevate asbestos abatement training to new heights. Replacing a structure that had served students since the early 1980s, this 16×20-foot training space represents a significant leap forward in both functionality and design.

The project began as an ambitious vision to provide a more dynamic, hands-on learning environment for students. Led by the expertise and ingenuity of Robb Wolf, our recently hired Backflow Instructor at TREEO, the training room was constructed with both efficiency and innovation in mind.

The new facility debuted on October 25, 2024, during the Asbestos: Contractor/Supervisor course. Students in the first class quickly praised the enhanced learning environment, highlighting the practical, immersive exercises as a standout feature of their training experience. This hands-on approach ensures that students are well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges in the field of asbestos abatement.

The new asbestos training room embodies the TREEO Center’s mission to empower individuals through accessible, dynamic education that equips students with the skills and confidence to excel in their industries.
