From Training to On-Site Solutions: New Consulting Services Support Florida’s Utilities

The University of Florida’s TREEO Center is expanding its offerings to include expert-led consulting services, providing direct technical support to Florida’s utilities, municipalities, and environmental organizations.

Building on decades of training and workforce development, TREEO’s consulting services connect clients with seasoned instructors for on-site evaluations, troubleshooting, and compliance guidance. The consulting services launch with an initial focus on water and wastewater operations, with additional service areas to be introduced over time.

“This expansion represents the next step in TREEO’s mission — giving our experts the opportunity to work directly with Florida’s essential industries to solve complex problems,” said Andrew Campbell, Director of the UF Office of Professional and Workforce Development. “Ron Trygar is a perfect example of that expertise. With over 38 years in the water and wastewater field, he’s known statewide for helping operators troubleshoot tough issues, prepare for inspections, and improve plant performance. His practical, hands-on knowledge is exactly what makes TREEO’s consulting services so valuable.”

Ron Trygar, CET/CIT, a senior training specialist at TREEO, leads the first phase of consulting services. His areas of expertise include treatment plant performance, regulatory preparation, process control, lab evaluation, and workforce development. Ron holds multiple operator licenses and professional certifications.

TREEO is now accepting consulting inquiries from organizations seeking field-tested expertise and tailored solutions.
